Episode 2.4 We fucking love coloring!

Love indie rock AND coloring books? This is your lucky day! we talk about the Indie Rock Coloring Book and the Yellow Bird Project in this episode!

Also we listen to music by The New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, Laura Veirs, and Iron and Wine!

...and much more!

Episode 2.4 inALLcaps Radio Hour featuring Broken Social Scene and Iron and Wine by inallcaps

Enjoy!

You know, we recorded and published our first three podcasts this season using a MacBook Pro!

Still happy we chose Modest Mouse over Dead Weather. AND, you can buy the coloring book at Amazon too!

We introduce you to Iron & Wine and discuss a few others...

Time may give you more than your bones could ever take

We discuss commercialism in music and briefly touch on The Black Crowes' new album...

One of Mookie's picks from the book is Broken Social Scene and we compare it to Kevin's band...

What's interesting about this coloring book is the unique designs each band has created... Which gets us talking about concert posters and T-shirts.

The Little One's next selection from the book is Laura Veirs and briefly refer to her alma mater, Carleton College.

Mookie asks if Paul Wellstone's death was mysterious... And naive TLO doesn't think so. It seems there is a book about it!

Anyway, a few related acts are...

Mookie also introduces us to The New Pornographers and we bring up a few comparisons...

RockBand artists v Guitar Hero artists... Mookie has Guitar Hero World Tour and TLO loves to play it!

Who is your favorite Beatle?

Please don't forget to support Mookie's video game marathon, Extralife... Raising money to fight Pediatric Cancer.

Season Finale: Meltdowns and Uncomfortable Silences

When you're this passionate about what you do, you're going to have a few disputes. We caught it all on tape for you, and thank you for following us on this journey. Season One Episode Twelve is here:

Episode 1.12 inALLcaps Radio Hour Season Finale = The Melt Down by inallcaps

Mookie discovered a great Kanye West cover, performed by William Fitzsimmons.

But mention Autotune, and off goes TLO on a tangent... And then another.

Yet another tangent, TLO? Really? Do you have a death wish?

Do you know anything about MuteMath?

If you couldn't see it building, this is about the spot where this podcast goes downhill very, very fast. We actually had some great discussions about music following the second track of the cast, "The Nerve" by Mute Math. But, our mics weren't on. So, instead, you get what you hear now.

...

Crickets...

Don't forget to pre-order Paramore's album... It's gonna be "super heavy!"

We try to make sense of the San Francisco Outside Lands schedule.

We try to figure out who to say and when to eat and when to drink and...well...you know..who we can miss...

1.11 inALLcaps Radio Hour by inallcaps

We think it's all good that Tenacious D is going to wrap this festival up...

Do you think Mookie really will ride a bike to the festival or find a rickshaw to ride in?

It's a three-day festival. Are we even going to make it through day one?

Even though TLO can hardly handle energy drinks, KHAOS is her favorite flavor.

Bummed we are missing Thievery Corporation but could care less about Incubus...

So how much walking back and forth do you think we will do... And why didn't I remember that I wanted to score myself some bomb-ass shoes for this event?

Is TLO the only one around here who is so defiant?

TLO goes off on a tangent on summer festivals and SummerFest. If you like music festivals you have got to look into this...

How exactly will we set the mood for all this music? Will the weather do it for us?

And continuing with Saturday's music discussion...

So, do you think that Conor Oberst sounds a bit like Dustin Kensrue?

So how does this whole Buy-Marijuana-in-California thing work? And just why do you think we can't even remember that whole movie...

And on to Sunday.

Eat your dinner. Don't get grumpy. This is serious.

Don't be fooled by going to comedy-style music shows...

Well.

We are stoked!

Warped Tour 2009 Recommendations!

Our fan(s) ask us who they should go see at Warped this summer. We are here to help!

1.10 inALLcaps Radio Hour featuring The Gallows and P.O.S. by inallcaps

LAST ONE OUT OF LIBERTY CITY! BURN IT TO THE GROUND! I know just who I am.

When I stop to think about where I'll be ten years from now...

[REC NUMBER ONE!] Don't miss Less Than Jake at Warped. If you do we will hunt you down. Meanwhile, here are a few other bands from this year or previous tours that you can check out and decide for yourself:

Even if Fat Mike puts them down, you might find something redeeming. But. [REC NUMBER TWO] Do not miss Fat Mike and the boys at NOFX.

If you are an old school punk/ska/skate fan... The Warp Compilation CD (NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the Warped Tour Compilation CD) is a MUST HAVE!!!

[REC NUMBER THREE] The Gallows will rock your face off. They melt bad Religion faces, after all. [REC NUMBER FOUR] Don't miss Bad Religion either.

[REC NUMBER B (what?)] Might as well check out someone like POS. Warped is about exposing you to what's new, too. You gotta have a "favorite current rapper." Now you can be relevant.

One of our favorites on Warped or anywhere is Bayside. Consider this your [REC NUMBER FIVE].

Noooo! Not Bayside High. BAYSIDE, the band. They're from Long Island. You have to know them, and you HAVE TO see them at Warped.

More could-miss, figure out for yourself, or definitely miss bands:

[REC NUMBER SIX] You are also required to see Anti-Flag. Are you, or are you not, attending a punk music festival? I rest my case. [REC NUMBER SEVEN] Alexisonfire could be one of the best acts you will catch during your day of kicking up dust.

Would you like to know who Alexisonfire recommends for Warped? Well
here you go
my lovelies.

Don't be cutting people off by the way. Send TLO a book or two, please.

[REC NUMBER EIGHT] Escape the Fate bitches!

[REC NUMBER NINE] Hey. If Kurt Cobain takes the time to create a handmade Flipper T-shirt, you know that if you get the chance to see the band themselves, you better do work!

[REC NUMBER TEN] TLO says to go see A Skylit Drive. What do you think?

By the way... If your coworkers can hear you in the bathroom, please. PLEASE!

Hey. Have fun! Let us know if you discovered a new favorite act!

Drummers get all the chicks

Part Two of our covers podcast. We talk about Daughtry, My American Heart, Person L, Gatsby's American Dream, and She and Him!

1.9 inALLcaps Radio Hour featuring Daughtry and My American Heart by inallcaps

A state that's what by what?

California Love by My American Heart is our first cover in this podcast. You can download the original or the cover right here! Get it!

Hey! Alice in Chains is on tour again! Pre-order the new CD...

Are you a fan of Zooey Deschanel?

And... A few other tools to help you if you suffer from some of the same issues we do.

Homage? Hommish? Houmus, anyone??

If you are into American Idol, we judge you. Sorry!

Here you go, not-that-great-looking women. Get yourselves some really big sunglasses.

We give some advice on updating your Facebook...

And... Uh...

If it makes the Billboard Top 100, well, of course, it's good isn't it? Do you let yourself get a little too crazy for your favorite artists? And do you find yourself gravitating toward the more "attainable" acts?

Back to Covers. Cody Chesnutt, anyone?

Sometimes TLO really goes off on a tangent.

And more random mentions of artists...

The Little One loves Dave Grohl. Yes. Absolutely.

Oh!! Where were we? Sorry! Dave Grohl. No! The Seed. Put my seed in you. Wait! No... Name my baby rock and roll? What? You see why TLO can't pay attention to crunk? Yeah, I'm so embarrassed. I was just thinking about Dave that whole time.

HAVE YOU BEEN TELLING YOUR FRIENDS TO LISTEN TO US??

Find us on FaceBook. inallcaps.com

Don't ask what's for dinner. Fuckyouverymuch is what's for dinner buddy!!

What ever happened to Gatsby's American Dream? Sad face, man! Get some here! Get some now!

What are the essential elements you need for a good cover? Do you do any covers of your own?

And what of the new hi-tech social graces?

Is it acceptable to... google while chatting? Text while talking?

Gatsby's side projects?
